Hola y bienvenidos al Primer Cuatrimestre!

A partir de la última semana de abril volveremos a actualizar quincenalmente los Blogs del Centro Universitario de Idiomas.
Si estás recibiendo este e-mail es porque en algún momento te suscribiste a nuestro correo de actualizaciones.

* Para recibir actualizaciones de tu curso actual deberás suscribirte al BLOG corresponidiente al NIVEL que estés realizando. (aquí el listado de Niveles)
* Al mismo tiempo si quisieras no recibir más actualizaciones de ESTE BLOG, deberás desuscribirte.

Ambas acciones son fáciles de realizar, y deben ser hechas personalmente.

Personal Listening Comprehension & Video Sessions

Hello everyone,
You all may know that at least seven people were killed and 12 wounded in a shooting at the Fort Hood, Texas, U.S. Army base Thursday November 5, 2009.

One gunman was in custody and another was on the loose at the military base, one of the largest military installations in the world, local media reported. There could be a third shooter involved, ABC reported.

Australia's ABC Radio has prepared this report, which we invite you to listen to.

Mitad del cuatrimestre: Revision Time!

Hola a todos,
en estos días estamos promediando la mitad de la cursada. Y quizás sea un buen momento para realizar una evaluación personal de cómo vamos progresando.
Recuerden exponerse al idioma tanto como pueden dentro del aula como fuera.

Les dejamos 2 exámenes de revisión de las primeras unidades. Estos TESTS incluyen los contenidos MINIMOS de cada unidad. Por lo que si tienen muchos errores al resolverlos, es porque habrá que estudiar un poco más.

China's 60th Anniversary. Listening Comprehension

Hi everyone!

The 60th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China took place on 1 October 2009. A military parade involving 10,000 troops and the display of many high tech weapons was held at Tiananmen Square in Beijing and various celebrations were conducted all over the country. This parade was immediately followed by a civilian parade involving 100,000 participants.
A film entitled The Founding of a Republic was commissioned by China's film regulator and made by the China Film Group to mark the anniversary, and it was released nationwide on 17 September. The film retells the tale of the Communist ascendancy and triumph, and has a star-studded cast including Zhang Ziyi, Jackie Chan, Jet Li, and directors Jiang Wen, Chen Kaige and John Woo, many of whom make cameos appearances so brief they could be easily missed; the leading roles — such as revolutionary leader Mao Zedong — will be played by lesser known actors.

Alzeheimer's Disease: Listening Comprehension

Hello there!

Alzheimer's disease (AD), also called Alzheimer disease, Senile Dementia of the Alzheimer Type (SDAT) or simply Alzheimer's, is the most common form of dementia. This incurable, degenerative, and terminal disease was first described in 1906 and was named after him.Generally it is diagnosed in people over 65 years of age, although the less-prevalent early-onset Alzheimer's can occur much earlier. An estimated 26.6 million people worldwide had Alzheimer's in 2006; this number may quadruple by 2050. (*)
